光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。由湖北两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造银元和铜元，之后各省纷纷仿效。共有十九个省局铸造，除中央户部，地方省所铸铜元，皆在其正面上缘镌写省名。光绪元宝是大清光绪年流通大面值货币之首，是我国首批引进海外技术的印发流通货币，对于现今也蕴藏了一定历史意义。广东省造光绪元宝在中国近代机器铸币史上属一个大系列，其铸期历时甚长（从光绪22年—光绪34年[1896至1908年]），历经十余载，币模几经更替，即使同一铸造年份亦往往由于修模、币材、工艺技术、工厂管理等诸多因素，造成版别异常繁杂。
Guang Xu Yuanbao was one of the currency circulating in Guang Xu period of Qing Dynasty. Zhang Zhidong, governor of Hubei Province, first introduced the British coin machine to cast silver and copper yuan, and then the provinces followed suit. A total of 19 provincial bureau casting, in addition to the central household department, local provinces cast copper yuan, in its front edge engraved provincial name. Guang Xu Yuanbao is the first currency in the Qing Dynasty. It is the first batch of overseas technology in China. It also contains certain historical significance. Guang Xu Yuanbao, made in Guangdong Province, belongs to a large series in the history of modern machine coinage in China. Its casting period is very long (from Guang Xu 22 years to Guang Xu 34 years [1896-1908]). After more than ten years, the coin mold has been replaced. Even in the same casting year, it is often caused by many factors, such as mold repair, coin material, technology, factory management and so on.

此组云南省造光绪元宝库平三钱六分钱币，钱币正面铸有铭文，顶部铸楷体“云南省造”四字，底部铸货币价值“库平三钱六分”，中心直读“光绪元宝”四字，币中心为满文直译“光绪元宝”，钱文立体,四枚包浆光泽自然,为统一收藏.外圈两侧各有一朵六角花纹装饰。背面中央为神龙图腾，纹路如刀刻所成，铸造工艺神乎其技，龙身纹路精美，色泽艳丽明快，自然纯正，光洁细润。外圈顶部铸英文“云南省”，下部为英文“库平三钱六分”，两侧雕饰六角花纹装饰。此币虽然经历了岁月的洗礼和历史的沉淀，但如今依然保存较为完整。钱币的两面变得非常光滑，在柔和灯光照射下会散发淡淡的银光。用手轻轻触摸，可以感受到清凉表面凹凸有致的龙纹与字，质感好，整体美观大方，仿佛带着一股王者的贵气，且数量稀缺，世之罕见.
