遗传是相对稳定的，但是在现实生活中，也有小孩长得既不像父亲，也不像母亲，也曾经闹出过不少笑话和误会，而这就是医学上所说的遗传变异。
综上，我们的长相确实和父母的面容有很大的关联，但受成长环境等后天因素影响也不小。小仵作里的楚楚已经16岁了，虽然情节涉及到遗传学的基础知识，那么这样还原出的母亲肖像和实际情况到底会有多少差距？谁也下不了结论，仅做推断来参考吧。
