"How much more picking up teammates you want me to do?"

I was actually pretty suprised he said that, seems a bit out of character

It took JR doing this to finally make him crack

Fucks left given by Bron = 0

Its funny though. After 2 games of keeping them in the game and giving them a shot and the 10+ year veteran role players can"t knock down a shot, im sure hes just done with it. Maybe he himself subtly calling them out will get a fire under them

Pretty sure he means that in the way that he constantly says he supports his teammates and consistently trusts in them as much as he possibly can. But people will think he means it like he"s done picking them up

I didn"t take this as him carrying his teammates, I took this more as him saying "if being in the finals isn"t enough motivation for anyone, then I can"t do anything extra for you"

I think alot of people are going to take that as him saying that hes picking up their slack but I think he meant that as a player in the finals he should not have to console his teammates more than he already has, emotionally speaking

That is what he"s saying. It"s during the time between the end of regulation and the start of overtime, referring to immediately after JR"s mistake. LeBron was not consoling JR, obviously. He was walking away from him. It"s the NBA Finals. Everyone knows what"s at stake.

Not sure how people would misread what he"s saying. The question is explicitly about the moments between end of regulation and overtime. But ton of comments here already misinterpreting anyway...

Lmao he’s right we in the nba finals playing for the gold with a golden opportunity to steal a game against possibly the best team ever and you forget the score ? I wouldn’t pick him up either wtf

I don"t know how any star could even look at JR after that. Kobe or MJ might have punched him. What was LeBron supposed to do there? If anyone deserves blame it is Ty Lue for almost spending the entire time before OT literally doing nothing.

Lebron was even trying to make the correct play and call a time-out if I recall. There"s literally nothing more he could do. If he had punched JR I would have forgiven him. Hell, JR probably would have forgiven him.

I guess they expect him to cheerlead and slap guys on the back like his own man and his coach didn’t just fuck up back to back to lose the game after he’d put out so hard. It’s just shitty.

Dude put up 51 points against a team with multiple All Stars and MVPs and people on here the other day were saying "he shouldn"t have looked sad, that"s not what leaders do, MJ woulda never done that" lmao

Yeah MJ woulda just punched JR

[–]Bulls TankwagonRIFLRIFLRIFLRIFL 331

MJ would"ve punched the stupid out of JR during practice. A true leader

I love how people think of MJ as a great leader.

Like him or not, he is a bad human being and worse leader. Just utterly trash as a person.

Give me lebron"s brand of "I"ll outwork 19 year olds and set the example for how a player should conduct themselves" over MJ"s "leadership" any day.

He gambled away a fortune the night before a finals game and stayed up till 5 or 6 in the morning

He assaulted and threatened and discredited any teammate if they crossed him.

Yeah... real great example.

I just don"t get this whole "you"re their leader" narrative sometimes. Obviously LeBron knows he is carrying this team but the way the media push this narrative, they are a lot more responsible for this player divide than he is. His teammates are grown ass fucking professionals, if they can"t settle down and make free throws to ice the game or not forget the score with 4 seconds left I don"t know how much more LeBron is supposed to do.

He can"t be frustrated now anymore? Honestly I think his response was the most mature thing to do, he was obviously mad angry at JR but tried to refocus his energy on OT.

This is the NBA Finals and it seems like people still expect LeBron to singlehandedly guide his team to a ring. No one has ever done that and no one ever will. Everyone on the team needs to pull their weight.

WHY WASN"T LEBRON CONSTANTLY REMINDING JR OF THE SCORE THOUGH

it really is crazy how much people expect from him. Everything thats not 100% perfect seems like not good enough for people and reason enough to talk him down like crazy.
