TRICK OR TREAT
每年的10月31日是西方的万圣节，这是西方孩子们最喜欢的节日，也是充满神秘的节日。为了让我们的孩子了解西方文化传统，感受这一独特的节日气氛和习俗，西安新知小学英语组设计了“Trick or Treat. 不给糖就捣蛋 ”万圣节主题活动。
Halloween is on Oct. 31.It is children’s favorite festival. It is a mysterious festival too. We plan the activity “Trick or treat” for children in order to let kids experience the special atmosphere.
孩子们穿着万圣节的服装，打扮成各种各样的造型。有的孩子穿着黑色的披风，顶着尖尖的高帽子，戴着可怕的面具,装扮成怪兽monster的样子；有的装扮成superman超人的样子;有的女孩子装扮成美丽的公主princess、flower fairy花仙子、女巫等，仿佛走进了童话世界，孩子们兴奋、开心极了。
Children wear the capes, hats, scary masks, and other costumes to dress up as different characters such as monster, superman, princess, flower fairy, and witch. Kids seem to be immersed in the cartoon world. They are happy and excited.
在西方，万圣节这天，孩子们要去人家的家门口按门铃，然后问大人要糖，装在自己的口袋满载而归。但我们今天的活动中，让高年级（五、六年级）的孩子带领着一年级的弟弟妹妹在早晨第三节课去老师办公室要糖，把自己讨来的糖果去分给弟弟妹妹们，和他们一起分享节日的快乐。二、三、四年级的孩子安排在第四节课去老师办公室要糖。孩子们要喊出“Trick or treat, Happy Halloween!”,老师才会发给他们糖。老师和孩子们都沉浸在万圣节的快乐中，孩子们在活动中不仅了解了西方万圣节的时间、象征，还懂得了万圣节的文化习俗。
In western countries, children go to the houses and knock at the door one by one to get candies from the adults on Halloween. Then they put candies in the bags and take them home. In our activity, we plan the fifth graders and the sixth graders lead the younger first graders to get candies from teachers’ office on the third lesson. And they share the candies and the happiness with younger kids. The second graders, the third graders, and the fourth graders get candies from teachers’ office on the fourth lesson. Children have to shout out “Trick or treat, Happy Halloween!”, then teachers give the candies to them. The campus is filled with the joyful atmosphere. Students not only get to know the time and symbols of Halloween, but also the culture and customs of Halloween.
