Hello everyone. This is teacher Chino, one of the SuperStars here at 51Talk. Let’s begin our lesson by listening to this dialogue.
嗨喽大家好。我是Chino老师，51Talk超级外教中的一员。咱们一起通过下面的对话来开始今天的课程吧。
【对话】
A: How would you like your order to be shipped?
A: 你想让预定的货物以何种方式发出呢？
B: We"d like to do a partial shipment in order to lower the freight cost. Could we do half the order by air and the other half by sea?
B: 我们希望分批发货，从而降低运费。我们是否可以将一半货物走空运，一半走海运呢？
A: Okay. Is it necessary to use our freight forwarding agent?
A: 好的。是否需要我们的货运代理呢？
B: No, thank you. We"ve got our own freight forwarder. Here is his contact number.
B: 不用了，谢谢。我们已经有货运代理了。这是他的联系方式。
A: That"s good. The first half will be shipped tomorrow. The rest will be shipped by regular lines. Could you please tell me the deadline of the loading period?
A: 很好。第一部分明天发货。剩下的将会照常海运。可否跟我说一下装运截止日期呢？
B: The goods we ordered are seasonal goods, so I"ll need them in 10 days.
B: 我们定的商品都是季节性的，所以十天之内必须到货。
A: No problem.
A: 没问题。
【讲解】
In this conversation, B is discussing with A the delivery method of the products he ordered.
在这段对话中，B在跟A商议他预定货物的物流方式。
There are two terms to learn in this conversation. They are regular lines and seasonal.
这里有两个词要学习。它们是regular lines和seasonal.
Regular line
shipping by sea at a normal speed
正常海运
Seasonal
happening, expected, or needed during a particular season.
在某个特殊季节中需求的，期望的。
