Job Description

Job title 

Asia Regional Marketing Assistant

   

Line manager  

Regional Marketing Director, Asia and MENA

   

Location  Shanghai, China

   

Purpose of the role 

To support the regional marketing team in the execution of all marketing projects and plan; to provide admin support for the Director of Marketing, as well as the remaining regional marketing team members.

Need to do

Key tasks

  • Perform administrative duties

  • Coordinate publications and promotional materials supply

  • Create power point presentations, short videos and other social media content

  • Consolidate and analyze data

  • Prepare training materials and handouts

  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials

  • Coordinate website updates, in terms of both copy and photography

  • Coordinate campaigns in social media

  • Support preparation and the delivery of events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions

  • Assist with conducting market research (using customer questionnaires and focus groups) and analyzing data

  • Support  all colleagues in the regional marketing team

  • Key relationships

  • Report to the Regional Director of Marketing, Asia and MENA

  • Admin support for Regional Director of Marketing and regional marketing team

  • Work closely with other members of the Asia regional marketing team, especially Regional Professional Development and Teacher Training Manager and Regional Marketing Specialist

  • Work closely with China, Japan and Thailand Marketing Managers and Executives

  • Liaise with broader Asia sales teams

  • Need to know

    Qualifications 

    University degree, preferably in the field of marketing,education or English language

     

    Skills/Knowledge 

  • A basic understanding of marketing

  • Excellent English skills, both in written and spoken English

  • Native (native-like) knowledge of Mandarin Chinese

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, a team player

  • A quick and independent learner

  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Movie Maker (optional)

  •  

    Experience  

     

  • Basic experience of admin support with 1-year marketing, education or admin-relevant experience; university graduates need to have relevant internship experience, with multinational companies preferred

  • Experience of basic marketing-related tasks: video editing, creating ppt slides, coordinating data collection etc.

  • Experience in marketing, especially in events and social media will be a plus

  • Knowledge of publishing and/or English Language Teaching in Asia, and China in particular, will be a plus
