The Tiger-shaped Brown-glazed Porcelain Pillow with Black Flowers collected by Henan Museum is 15 centimeters in width, 40 centimeters in length and 11 centimeters in height, and was made during the Song Dynasty (960-1279).
褐釉黑花虎形瓷枕，河南博物院藏，宽15厘米、长40厘米、高11厘米，宋朝时期文物。
Slightly bent, the pillow looks like a crouching tiger with its head resting on forelimbs and tail clinging on body. Its slightly concave upper surface is covered in white glaze and decorated in black and brown with hills, stones, trees, wild geese, monkeys, deer, etc. Other sides of the pillow are fully brown-glazed and painted tiger stripes in black. By and large, the pillow stands out among Cizhou kiln (the largest folk kiln system in the north of ancient China) works for its shape, glaze and patterns.
枕呈卧虎形，微弯曲，虎头置于并拢平伸的前肢上。尾前翘紧贴其身。枕面略凹，施白釉，用黑褐二色绘出山石、树木、雁、猴、鹿等。除枕面外，通体施褐釉。用黑彩画出虎身斑纹。釉不过底。此枕造型、釉色和纹饰等均属磁州窑系的佼佼者。
