Experts note that: Everyone bears the primary responsibility for their own health. Autumn and winter see high occurrence of common respiratory infectious diseases which pose greater challenges to our prevention and control efforts, so it is necessary to guard against multiple diseases, flu and Covid-19 in particular, and take pandemic control measures in our everyday lives with high vigilance and tight precautions.1. Manage your travel properly and reduce unnecessary gatherings. Avoid trips to regions with medium or high risks of the pandemic, unless necessary. Ensure personal protection if you have to go to these regions. People who visited Kashgar Prefecture after October 10 shall report relevant information to their communities and take nucleic acid testing. From October 26 on, passengers coming (returning) to Jiangsu from Shufu County, Kashgar Prefecture by train and air shall show their health code and report information to respective communities afterwards for health management. 2. Prevent and control respiratory infectious diseases that tend to rage in autumn and winter. Ventilate rooms and wash your hands regularly, and practice social distancing. Do not spit and follow cough etiquette. Reduce public gatherings and wear a mask in places with poor ventilation or crowds. Beef up immunity with a reasonable diet, proper exercise, a good mentality and sufficient sleep to prevent Covid-19, flu, TB and other respiratory infectious diseases.3. Develop healthy eating habits. Separate cutting boards, knives and tableware while storing and preparing food and wash them soon after use. Thoroughly cook meat, eggs, and seafood before eating. Use serving chopsticks and spoons on the table and keep a healthy and balanced diet. 4. Stay alert, improve personal protection and keep the mask on when going to crowded places such as farm produce markets and wholesale markets. Be advised to avoid large crowds, shorten the length of stay, avoid touching raw food such as raw meat or fish, and wash your hands soon after returning home. 5. Seek medical treatment at a nearby fever clinic as soon as possible when symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and fatigue occur and inform medical practitioners of your whereabouts over the previous 14 days. Make sure to wear a mask and avoid using public transport when seeking treatment.6. Use the Jiangsu Health Code to declare health conditions. For those coming to Jiangsu from outside the Chinese mainland, please inform your community or employer of your conditions and cooperate to conduct medical quarantine and Covid-19 nucleic acid tests. If you or your family members living with you have been to places outside the Chinese mainland or have contacted visitors from medium or high-risk regions over the previous 14 days, inform your community or employer of these facts.
